Dana did a great job representing us as a buyer’s agent, getting to know us and listening to our wants in an ideal home, both in function and location. This was our 2nd time in the DC area so we knew what areas we wanted to consider. She found a recently built FSBO home that wasn’t listed in most sites and helped negotiate a great price and managed the closure activities so that we didn’t need to worry about a 30 day escrow. Even a last minute snag with the lender was quickly resolved.
Dana was a fabulous agent for my husband and I… she was unfailing in her help to find the house we wanted, and very helpful in everything about finding it!! I loved her personality , while she was very helpful, she was also very focused on our needs!! All in all, it was a successful search and we found the perfect house!!
Ms. Hollish is wonderful. Experience pays dividends. She is both direct and savvy, traits that are hard to find these days. She has a sixth sense for knowing what cards to play at different times and is willing to tell you things that you need to hear both as a buyer and seller. Definitely recommend.

Dana at the Hollish Hill Group helped our family find and purchase a new home in the South Riding area of Virginia. She was very knowledgeable of all the areas including schools, businesses and future growth. Dana was able to describe how even the the growth was going to affect traffic and impact our commute. This was three years ago, and she was 100% correct.
We ended up buying a new construction which took roughly 6 months to build. She spoke to her past experiences with the builder, positives and negatives, to help us form our decision. A true independent, she didn’t try to sell to us. Being new to the area, Dana also provided contacts to a trustworthy inspector and lender, both of whom were very helpful.

Dana Hollish really gets it done fast. With the help of Dana Hollish, I was able to look at several houses and close all well within 2 months in total. With the extra overhead in the particular county where I bought a home, I still can’t believe we could close the deal in 30 days. She’s exceptionally punctual, available to talk any day (even weekends!) and at all sorts of odd hours, she’s thorough with comps, honest and gives good advice which are all very important to a first time home buyer (like myself)! I will say that her fast work pace might make you feel a little pressured or rushed, but she means well and that work ethic pays off when you finally do close.
She also has a nifty listing service to help you pick out houses to look at. It makes communicating your preferences a lot easier. The houses you pick to look at may not even fit what you thought you wanted.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dana Hollish as your buyer agent. She did amazing work for me! She will definitely do great by you too.

My fiance and I were in the market for our first home, so we began the process incredibly early. We knew we wanted to work with an exclusive buyers agent because we didn’t want to have to deal with any potential conflicts of interest. I visited a website and conducted a search through their website for agents in the DC area. After a short while I had responses from a few agents, one of which was Dana Hill.
I liked her from the moment I spoke with her on the phone. She was very straight forward and provided a lot of information about the process despite the fact that I had not even signed a contract with her yet. (The agency she works for, requires a contract that guarantees the agent a 3% buyer’s agent fee; however, the contract is breakable by both parties should any issues arise…it’s just your standard buyer agent contract.) I met Dana as well as several other agents when my fiance and I decided she was the one.
At our first meeting she inquired about our lives, our interests and our expectations and desires for our new home. She also inquired about the areas we were interested in, the neighborhoods, and the types of properties. Unfortunately for Dana, we weren’t altogether nailed down on any of those aspects, so we dragged her all over the Metro DC area.
She educated us on what to look for when looking at a house, some basic information on what a home inspector might notice, and what to look for in a neighborhood if you’re interested in property appreciation. There were some houses that we expressed an interest in that wouldn’t have been the best option for us and after she pointed some details out to us, she talked us out of something that would have been a big mistake. That is one of the many aspects of Dana that we loved, she will never let you buy something that you would regret in the long run, and she always kept in mind what she learned during the interview. Most importantly, she teaches you how to recognize when you’ve found the best house possible; and, when you’ve found it, she is an amazing negotiator.
The house we ended up buying appraised at $50,000 over the amount we purchased it for, and it is in an area and neighborhood we absolutely adore. Dana is truly an amazing agent and I highly recommend her to anyone!
