You may recall a recent post of mine about another local Chinese Restaurant after the closing of long time local favorite, Jade Billows. But now there is a new restaurant in the old Jade Billows location and locals are buzzing about whether or not this newcomer will fill the void that was left behind.

When October arrives and the weather begins to feel like fall, my family is always ready for Halloween. We (not so patiently) wait until October 1st and then the tombstones go up and the ghouls make their appearance in the yard. Fog machines are tested and costumes are selected. It’s the most frightening time of year at the Hill House of Horror.

In the DC metropolitan area, homes with swimming pools are not very easy to sell. But as soon as the public pools close each year, I seem to attract a few clients who are interested in swimming pools. This year it seems many of my buyer clients are looking at buying a home and then installing a pool.
