Five Bedroom Brick Colonial in Forest Hills

Five Bedroom Brick Colonial in Forest Hills

July 24, 2013

A family of four were renting a home in Washington DC when they began working with me help them ramp up their home search. They wanted a home that allowed their children to stay near their friends and within the Wilson HS school district. The initial parameters were geographical with street boundaries that specifically avoided dead zones where “useless retail” populated the main street.

Initially, we searched the AU Park and Cleveland Park neighborhoods. Many of these homes drew multiple bids that were selling for more than 10% above the list price with all cash offers and no contingencies.

Each member of the family took their time and saw the homes and gave their thoughts. It was a very inclusive process. We also looked at surrounding areas and looked at different price ranges to see what would fit best for the family and their budget. The possibility of having a rental unit included in the property was also explored.

When we found the final property, located in this particular area of the neighborhood, they wanted to see it right away. The quiet street and bright  home with lots of windows, showed well. The kids had selected their rooms and the parents knew which changes they would make right away and which they could make over time. I can’t wait to see what they do with this home.

If you are looking for a condo in the DC Metropolitan area, including downtown Forest Hills, American University Park or Cleveland Park, give me a call to Get Started.
