Will I go to a good high school?

November 4, 2015

Last night as I was driving my daughter to basketball practice she asked me if the high school she will attend is a good one. What she really wanted to know was how it measured up Rulersagainst some other local high schools where her teammates will attend. It made me realize that I haven’t checked the 2015 Ranking of High Schools from US News & World Report in awhile.

As a real estate agent, I know there are many tools available to home buyers that provide data about the local area schools. Many of the online tools, like, use different factors to determine a score. Some tools are less about a score and more about statistics and demographics, like the reports provided by each county for each individual school. Parents use all kinds of data to determine the school they feel matches what they want for their children.

Searching for the perfect home

Selecting the perfect home involves weighing many factors and determining which ones best suit your wants and needs. For many families, choosing a home includes researching and selecting the best neighborhood school.

If you’re looking for a home in the DC Metropolitan Area, you might be wondering how local schools rank nationally.
